2012 - 2013 Programme

Overview

The business engineering programme aims to develop the students’ ability to analyse and to provide assistance in the decision-making process in the fields of economics and management, of science and of technology.

This programme combines training in economics, in management, in quantitative methods and in science (physics, chemistry and technology).

Management covers fields such as finance, marketing, production management, human resource management and strategic analysis.

To understand the economic environment companies face, students also follow courses in economics.

The science and technology courses enable students to understand the technological stakes and to communicate with specialised technicians in these fields within companies.

The education is complemented with courses in foreign languages, in law and in human sciences such as sociology and psychology.

At Saint-Louis, this programme is taught in French, in French and English, in French and Dutch and in French, English and Dutch.

Structure

The Bachelor in Business Engineering programme is a 3-year course of study. Each year of study counts 60 ECTS credits. This degree gives direct access to the Master in Business Engineering programme.

At Saint-Louis, Bachelor in Business Engineering major students can choose to follow courses in one of the following language options:

  • Unilingual : the programme is taught in French with the exception of the course of finance to be followed in Dutch or in English during the second term of the 3rd year.
  • Bilingual French-English : each year, three courses are taught in English.
  • Bilingual French-Dutch : each year, three courses are taught in Dutch.
  • Trilingual French-Dutch-English : each year, two courses are taught in English and two courses are taught in Dutch.

Regardless of the programme chosen, students have the opportunity to take part in an exchange programme during the second term of their 3rd year of studies.
